This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and our commitment to your privacy while using our application.

100% Offline Nature

Notes Vault App is a 100% offline application. We believe your data should stay where it belongs: on your device. Our architecture ensures that:

• We do not collect, upload, or transmit any personal information.
• No data is stored on, or processed by, any cloud or external servers.
• The app functions entirely without an internet connection.
• Your data is never shared with, sold to, or accessible by third parties.

Specialized Reference Tracking

To enhance your productivity, our app allows you to store specialized reference data within your notes. This information is stored locally and includes:

• Video Reference Tracking: You can save specific time stamps and links for video content directly in your notes.
• Book Bibliography Tracking: You can organize research with details such as Author names, Volume numbers, and Page references.

Just like standard text notes, all this specialized tracking data remains strictly on your local device.

Local Storage (Hive)

All notes, reference data, and files are stored exclusively on your own device using the Hive database. This ensures high performance and security.

Since the database resides entirely on your device's local memory, you maintain complete control. Deleting the app or clearing its data will remove all content permanently, as we do not maintain any external backups.

Security

Because your data is stored locally, its security is primarily dependent on your device's security features. We recommend using:

• Device-level encryption.
• Strong PIN, Pattern, or Password locks.
• Biometric authentication (Fingerprint/Face ID) where available.

No Third-Party Tracking

We respect your digital privacy. Notes Vault App does not include:

• Google Analytics or any other behavioral tracking tools.
• Advertising networks or external SDKs.
• Firebase Analytics or any crash-reporting tracking.

Permissions

Our app requests minimal permissions necessary for its core functionality:

• Storage Permission: This permission is required solely to enable the following local features:
  • PDF Export: Converting your notes into PDF documents.
  • Printing: Generating print-ready files for A4 and A5 paper sizes.

We do not access any files on your device other than those you explicitly interact with or generate through the app.
